SK Gaming vs Team Liquid

ECS Season 5 North America,

Rounding down with some more North American ECS action we find ourselves in the presence of a wonderful grudge match game. SK Gaming will be facing off against their former teammate TACO who currently resides on Team Liquid. This is will, in fact, be a game I highly recommend you take part in viewing, as I am curious to see how TACO will play against his former team. TACO has shown a great growth and potential since leaving SK and I feel his new home with Liquid will one of a permanent residence. Let's dive in and pick apart each team to see exactly how they will be playing on the map of the day; which will be predetermined as Train.

Team Liquid:

As stated previously, Team Liquid has acquired TACO. TACO is a support player who holds down the B-site for the other members to take advantage of the help that TACO gives them. This has already been noticeable in Team Liquid's playstyle, since TACO's addition to the team, out of thirteen matches, Liquid has only dropped six games. Already over a sixty percent win ratio, which is greater than the previous win rate of Team Liquid with Steel. On Train specifically, players to look out for would be that of Twitzz who currently boats a rating of 1.17. The tag-team of Nitro and Elige hold a steady 1.12 rating, and star player NAF sits quietly at a 1.1 rating.

SK Gaming :

Seen as one of the most controversial roster changes of all time, Stewie2k joining the likes of SK Gaming in replacement of TACO was a change no one saw coming. For a North American to join and all Brazilian, Portuguese speaking team was never a thought for the community. However, it happened. Since his join, Stewie2k has yet to put up the numbers he is best known for, and the entirety of SK Gaming is struggling to grind out wins against teams they were able to tear apart in the past. This lack of winning has cause HLTV ranked number one player Coldzera to step up and become the new in-game leader over the Brazillian mastermind of Fallen. I'm curious to see how this continue to affect SK Gaming.

Map Pick/Ban :

This is a best of two series, but as I mentioned before, the games will be played individually and we will be focussing on the first map on Train. As of right now, Train is not a prime map for either team, however, Team Liquid has better overall stats and win rates. and with SK not retaining their past form. I have to give the map advantage to Team Liquid

Final Thoughts:

This match will be one to watch and analyze as, since TACO's departure from SK Gaming, he has yet to play them. This is his debut day to show his former teammates why he was such an imperative part of the overall success of the organization. I hope TACO drops bombs and helps drive Team Liquid to victory over SK Gaming. Medium bet on Team Liquid.
