SK Gaming vs Team Dignitas

ESL Pro League Season 7 North America ,

Headed back into the North American scene we find ourselves in a peculiar match up between the likes of SK Gaming and the newly reestablished Team Dignitas. Dignitas has been had a lack of presence in recent time because the organization took a break from the CSGO scene for not too long, but just enough to find a team worth investing into. We'll discuss more of that in the team break downs. But for now, it's the standard best of two setup for ESL Pro League North America, so let's break down the teams.

Team Dignitas :

As I mentioned above, Team Dignitas has gone though a lot of roster changes and even went as far as to replace their entire team. The team Dignitas chose as a replacement was that of Team Soar. Now Soar was an ESEA Premier team that actually qualified for some large events. However, because of age restrictions, who of the starting five roster members were not allowed to compete because they were below the age of eighteen. And when Dignitas bought the team, they removed the younger members because of the age restriction. Meaning that two of the best members of the team no longer play for team Dignitas and they have been using substitutes in every match since then.

Ninjas in Pajamas's maps are as followed ; Mirage is 2-5, Inferno is 1-4, Cache is 1-2, Train is 0-3, Cobblestone is 0-3, Overpass is 1-1, and Nuke is the perma ban

SK Gaming :

SK Gaming is a team I mention a lot and that is due to the fact that they are my personal favorite team. They have all the aspects that make up a great team and they utilize every single one of them. With their latest pick up of Stewie2k I'm having some concerns but Stew seems to be enjoying his time with the squad and is producing good results. I'm hopeful for the future of SK with the addition of Stewie2k and will be tracking their progress through the next few months and the events of which they go to.

TSK Gaming's maps are as followed ; Inferno is 8-9, Mirage is 8-6, Train is 6-5, Overpass is 5-6, Cobblestone is 8-2, Cache is 4-3, and Nuke is the perma ban.

Map Pick/Ban :

This is a best of two with each game represented as an individual game. In this tip we will be focusing on the first game on Inferno. Inferno is a map where the best team will win, it is very tactical and the sites are closed off to the defensive side and because of the this the offense has to really pry open the bombsites in order to get a significant round. However I favor SK Gaming in this map choice because it is their most played game and Dignitas have only played 5 total matches in the last 3 months on it.

Final Thoughts:

With SK Gaming being the better team and the map being Inferno, I find myself favoring SK Gaming overall and I cannot see them losing to Team Dignitas. Medium bet on SK Gaming and hopefully we can watch Stewie2k earn his wings on the SK lineup.
