CS Summit 2 Day 2,

Welcome to the first match of day 2 of the CS Summit 2 LAN event. In this morning's match up, we are looking at two teams who both won their respective games the day. SK Gaming took their best of three series in two maps over North American up and comers Torqued. While North took their series in two maps as well over Vega Squadron. Very good performances from both of these squads and moving forward with the event will start becoming more and more difficuly to predict as these games are getting good!

SK Gaming :

SK Gaming not only is a personal favorite team, but being as though they are the best in the world for an outrageous number of reasons, watching them finally play with their solidified five man roster was something of beauty yesterday. Even though they did play against the basically worst team in this entire LAN, I still say that whenever SK can rise to an occasion, they never shy away. With the addition of Boltz I can see every member of SK has had a complete confidence boost and can maintain their own sense of play style and can further develop the team to new heights.

SK Gaming's maps are as followed; Mirage is 8-4, Overpass is 9-3, Inferno is 4-6, Cobblestone is 8-0, Cache is 5-1, Train is 4-1, and Nuke is the perma ban.

North :

Yesterday I predicted that North would overcome Vega Squadron, to my luck, I was right. Which bring us to today's match against SK Gaming and I'll have to look further into the map pools to really make a fully assessment of who I think will win the match. Yesterday I feel we say a wonderful performance by North. Who played very unpredictable and let their own individual skill dictate the pace of the game, to where they easily broke Vega Squadrons game plan up and took a relatively easy series, this series against SK will be much harder.

North's maps are as followed; Overpass is 6-3, Mirage is 1-4, Train is 2-4, Inferno is 4-1, Cobblestone is 2-3, Nuke is 1-0, and Cache is the perma ban.

Map Pick/Ban :

Seeing as both teams perma ban is Cache. That map will not be played. To my surprise North played Mirage, a map of which I did not think they were comfortable on, I doubt that comfort will follow to this game, seeign as SK have an astounding record on Mirage. A possible ban from North may include Cobblestone. North Struggle and SK are perfect on it currently. SK will clap back with a swift ban of Inferno, seeing as it is the only map of which North have any sort of confidence on. The remaining maps and the three maps of the series are likely to come down to Overpass, Train, and Mirage. Seeing as Nuke is the last map and the perma ban for SK.

Final Thoughts:

In terms of this match up, I still see SK regaining their form that once was, I feel North might have good shot since both teams are coming to terms with their newest members. However SK have already played with Boltz in the past and won on LAN at Epicenter. SK are definitely more comfortable with their roster and to be frank, the map choices in this series heavily favor SK. Overpass is nearly impossible to take from SK and Train is a sleeper map currently for SK, but don't forget they once had a 16+ game win streak on said map. The odds are decent for a more risky wager, I'd still go medium or wherever is safe for you. Some profit is better than no profit.
