StarSeries i-League Season 4 Day 2 ,

So far this event i'm sitting at a prediction rating of one and one. G2 demolished Renegades but unfortunately for Fnatic, Gambit had other plans other than losing to them. This event has been great so far and many teams are playing really well because of the new rule about roster changes and allowing all the teams that had a roster change, to keep the new roster and play. Because of this, I feel we as the audience are getting a much better viewing experiance. However, enough about the roster lock change, let's get into what we came here for, and that is an analysis on the series between SK Gaming and Mousesports.

SK Gaming :

SK have come into this match up because of an easy day one against one of the two Asian qualifying teams; MVP PK. SK had a very convincing game but I am not so much impressed with SK in this match up because I feel the two Asian teams will go out very early in this event so beating them is not a feat that is hard. However, winning a series two to zero is always a confidence booster and bringing that confidence into this match up will be a key factor for SK to walk away with a victory in hand.

SK Gaming's maps are as followed ; Inferno is 6-7, Mirage is 6-4, Overpass is 7-3, Cobblestone is 8-1, Cache is 4-2, Train is 4-2, and Nuke is the perma ban.

Mousesports :

Mousesports had a very nice opening day against Virtus Pro. Though they did dorp map one, Cobblestone, in overtime against the Polish Powerhouse. Mouse did manage to recuperate and win the remaining two maps Mirage and Inferno for the reverse sweep and the win. ChrisJ was the definite player to watch as he was on fire on Mirage and single handedly shut down Virtus Pro time and time again. I hope Virtus Pro can bounce back and make a deep run in this event, but Mouse as a whole are looking solid and willing to take the fight to SK.

Mousesports's maps are as followed ; Mirage is 14-7, Cobblestone is 6-5, Train is 6-4, Nuke is 7-1, Inferno is 3-4, Overpass is 5-1, and Cache is 1-2

Map Pick/Ban :

This series will be a best of three so we will go over four bans and three picks. Starting with SK as they have a perma ban of Nuke, that map will not be played. This effects Mouse because they have a high win rate on that map. The other remaining ban for SK might come in the form of Mirage. But SK are comfortable on almost any map at this stage. Mousesport's bans will come in for Cache and Inferno. As these are maps they play, but SK are more comfortable on. Which leaves Overpass, Train, and Cobblestone as the three maps to be played.

Final Thoughts:

My final thoughts looking at these two teams are that though I find Mouse to be in an overall better state than SK Gaming, the map choices will fall in favor of SK. Mouse have a chance to upset, but I feel they won't be able to overcome the Brazilians and will find themselves clawing at a chance in the upper bracket in a different game. Medium bet on SK Gaming.
