Seoul Dynasty vs San Francisco Shock

For our second match of the day we have a fascinating scrap between Seoul Dynasty and the San Francisco Shock.

The Dynasty is perhaps no more, as they fell pray to a highly motivated Los Angeles Valiant squad just a couple of days ago in 3-0 fashion. They managed to tie Anubis but it was a measly consolation prize. They needed to win, or at worst lose but with two maps in their favor and yet they failed to do so. They were out of sync, out of energy and without a concrete idea on what they wanted to do.

It wasn't just them playing badly, it was the Valiant as well, and the fact that they were incredibly aggressive and it's hard saying which player impacted the game the most - they were all out on a mission as they wanted revenge after losing to Boston the week prior. Seoul couldn't handle their level of play and quickly succumbed to the pressure.

But that's not the only problem that Seoul has - they only have a single top performing DPS right now and that is Fleta, and the fact that they're constantly swapping in Gido without any logic behind it is almost idiotic. They're breaking up one of the most potent support duos in the entirety of the League - Tobi and Ryujehong, and while neither is a sensational Mercy they have the synergy down to the last detail.

As for San Francisco, they're playing spoiler right now. They also have a chip on their shoulder - they want to win against a top Korean team and even though Seoul seems to be out of the Top 3 right now, they're still a highly formidable team that has legendary roots and beating them is a thing of prestige.

Shock's win condition is simple - keep Babybay alive. The man is a hardcarry and can play a wide variety of DPS heroes and Danteh has been playing incredibly week - a huge upgrade from weeks 1-3. If Dhak and Sleepy don't miss-manage their ultimates and time the correctly, they might be able to give Seoul a run for their money. Luckily they're not playing Lunar Horizon Colony but Anubis so they should be able to perhaps even make this into a five map brawler.

If Seoul wants to keep their playoff hopes alive, they will have to come out of the gates swinging and dominate San Francisco like there's no tomorrow. They also probably have to 4-0 the Shock in order to keep ahead in the map differential. Will that happen? It's tough to know for sure. But it's ill-advised to bet against Seoul even though they're on a downwards trend these days. Even though they lost to the Valiant they're still one of the best teams in the Overwatch League and should be able to handle whatever the San Francisco Shock bring to the table.
