Seoul Dynasty vs Houston Outlaws

For our first match of the day we have a fairly interesting clash between the Seoul Dynasty and the Houston Outlaws.

Seoul had a slight fall from grace lately, which was pretty unexpected. While losing to New York Excelsior is by no means a shock, it was expected fom them to rebound against a weakened London Spitfire and yet they were smacked around for four maps. The fact that Ryujehong wasn't playing was surely a big hit in the shotcalling department and in general as well. To be fair they fought the best they could. Individually they all performed good but it wasn't enough.

As for the Outlaws, this should have been a far more exciting match than it's going to be right now mainly because of the fact that Houston's star DPS player LiNkzr won't be playing due to sickness. Without such a consistent, insanely talented playmaker at the helm, they will suffer quite a lot. While Clockwork managed to do admirably well in his first full outing last night against the San Francisco Shock, it was far from perfect. Unfortunately the Outlaws were unable to continue their perfect 4-0 streak as they lost on Oasis but they managed to secure the win which was imperative if they want to keep their playoff hopes alive.

They struggled against a game Babybay, they weren't nearly as clean with their ult management as they should have been (Bani with the late Mercy ult in an already finished fight), however they were just slightly better in key clutch moments.

At the moment there is quite the conundrum regarding the top tier Korean teams. London lost to Boston last week, New York to Philadelphia, Seoul to New York and to London Spitfire as well last night. The top echelon is completely confusing in regards to which team really is the strongest. That said, the Outlaws are in a weakened state. If they had LiNkzr this could have been insanely competitive, but without their primary DPS, it's tough to see them being fully competitive this time around.

Seoul want to bounce back, and if there was ever a time for them to do that against a middle-of-the-pack team, this would be it. Betting on Seoul would be the more logical choice, but after seeing their play yesterday, this might not be that easy.
