SEAL Esports vs Epsilon eSports

2018-03-05 15:52:00Posted by vvvv

Seal ranked #71 from Poland is playing against Epsilon ranked #32 from Europe in the grand finale of the EsporBet.com Promo Cup. The total prize pool is $2,000, and eight teams were competing.

First place takes $1,500 and second $500. It is a Bo5 match.

Last 20 matches:

Seal has won 10 and lost 8, 2 matches were a draw. They had a win ratio of 50% and average opponent rank of #131,6.

Epsilon has won 12 and lost 8 matches; they had a win ratio of 60% and average opponent rank of #114,45.

Seal has 84,6% win rate on Mirage, 75,0% on Inferno and 66,7% on Nuke. Their worst maps are Overpass with 0,0% and Cache with 33,3%.

Epsilon tends to play more on Cache because there, they have 64,3% win rate, Cobblestone 62,0%, and Mirage 60,1%. Their worst maps are Nuke 33,3% and Train 44,8%.

Top played maps in this tourney are:

Cobblestone 5, Mirage 5, Inferno 3, Train 3 and Overpass 1.

An interesting fact is that Seal has played professional matches only in February, January is empty, and the last recorded match is in December. Even more interesting fact is that they completely stomped their opponents in February, losing only a few games.

In this tournament, they won against Pompa 16-3, against Alternate attax 2-1 and SuperJimy 2-0. Awesome performance. They are second on the "top team list" for this tourney, with 1,15 rating on 6 played maps. Their best players are oskarish with 1,31 rating on 6 maps and peet with 1,21 rating on 6 maps.

Epsilon has also played a lot of matches in February and five already in March. They only lost to specific teams, and all of those were from Bo1 matches.

In this tournament, they have won against Budapest blaze 16-3, and then they lost against SuperJymy 0-1. Their journey continues in the lower bracket in a fight against Pompa where they won 16-11 and after that won against Alternate attax 22-20. They are 3rd on the "top teams list" with 1,10 rating on 6 maps. Their star player is smooya with the best score on this tournament 1,37 on 6 maps played.

I see no reason why this match wouldn't go into an over 3.5 maps. Seal has managed to snatch one map from better teams than Epsilon like AGO, PRIDE, etc. Both sides are good in their own way. I think odds and people favor more Epsilon since they are 30 places above Seal in rankings, but Seal is on a good win streak, and i am almost confident that they can take at least one map from Epsilon.

It is a grand finale, and both teams got nothing else to lose.

Since i cannot bet on the correct score, my final decision is an over 3,5 maps. Buf if i could choose, i would pick 2-3 for Epsilon or 1-3 for Epsilon.

Good luck to all who bet and may the odds be ever in your favor!
