ESEA MDL Season 27 North America ,

After a wonderful weekend of Counter Strike with the IEM Katowice event being played, we get a little bit of a down time with some online matches. In the match we will be looking at today, we have two North American teams battling it out in the ESEA MDL Season 27 of North America. These two teams are teams Torqued, and Ronin. Both of these teams have formed just as of recent and it will be an interesting game to watch as i'm sure both of these teams want to be some of the best in regards to the North American scene.

RONIN :

Ronin are a newly formed team that is made up of both former CLG members and former Rogue members. Both of these teams were North American teams who have made changes to their line ups and because of this, these five players were all forced out and decided to create a new squad. Players to look out for on this team is former Rogue member Wrath and former CLG member Cutler. These two players have been doing most of the heavy lifting for the squad and this team will have a better chance if both of these players decide to show up and perform as they should today.

RONIN's maps are as followed ; Mirage is 5-1, Inferno is 2-3, Overpass is 1-2, Nuke is 0-1, and maps Train, Cobblestone, and Cache have not been played.

Torqued :

If you as a reader have been following my last few tips around this team, you would already know that this is the former iBUYPOWER line up with the exception that DaZed is no longer with this team. With his departure the last floating around player Steel who is now the current in game leader. I will argue that Steel's arrival has taken this team to new heights as I don't think their has been a previous time in this organizations life that they have been this successful. Ups to Steel for taking the talent on Torqued and pointing it in the right direction.

Torqued's maps are as followed ; Mirage is 3-4, Inferno is 4-2, Cache is 2-0, Nuke is 1-1, Train is 1-1, Cobblestone is 1-1, and Overpass is the perma ban.

Map Pick/Ban :

This series will be a best of one and the map should be predetermined but as of this tip being posted it is not. I believe for ESL Pro League they predetermine the map, but for ESEA they let the teams pick. So six total bans will come through. Seeing as Mirage is the only map that RONIN are good on, Torqued will ban it and also be banning Inferno and Overpass. RONIN will likely ban out Cache, Cobblestone and Train. Leaving just Nuke left over.

Final Thoughts:

This is sort of a match up of two lower tier North American teams. I feel as if the advantage goes to Torqued in all terms. The map choice will be better, the skill on the team is better, and the leadership on the team is better. Torqued will likely be the ones to take this victory and so I advise you to put a medium bet on them.
