NRG vs OpTic Gaming

Once again in the North American scene we find ourselves with some great match ups. Specifically I will be talking about the match up between NRG and Optic gaming. Both of these teams are paving their way to be a top contender in the North American scene and both of these teams also have members that aren't particularly from North America. Optic gaming and NRG as organizations have both brought in foreign talent to help aid their quest to be the best in the homeland. And to my surprise it is working. Their has been significant improvement despite the fact that their is a slight language barrier. Big props to all foreign players moving to a different country, learning a different language, and still being able to compete on a high level.

Team NRG :

I have talked many of times about NRG in the past and this is because this team is just solid and I enjoy watching them play. NRG has made an excellent name for themselves despite starting off in the North American scene fairly weak. Since the addition of Cerq and Brehze, the team has grown astronomically and I find them to be a top contender with both North American squads and international talent. Though they haven't had a lot of international exposure, when they get their time they will succeed.

NRG's maps are as followed ; Mirage is 11-2, Inferno is 9-4, Train is 6-3, Overpass is 6-2, Nuke is 5-1, Cache is 3-1, and Cobblestone is 2-1

Optic Gaming :

Optic is the North American team that is plagued by struggle. They struggled with their first line up, their second line up, their replacements, roster changes, everything. Through all of this they still have moved forward and are a top 5 North American team, but without some serious strategies or a new coach, I feel they will continue to waste talent and be mediocre at best. I hope Optic Gaming can find solidity in a few solid players and work on becoming the best in North America because the opposition is fierce.

Optic Gaming's maps are as followed ; Train is 6-8, Mirage is 6-4, Inferno is 5-5, Overpass is 2-4, Nuke is 4-0, Cobblestone is 1-0, and Cache is the perma ban

Map Pick/Ban :

This is a best of two with each game represented as an individual game. In this tip we will be focusing on the first game on Mirage. Mirage is a common map between both of these teams, it is NRG's best map and Optic's second best. Because of the win rate of NRG on Mirage I have to give the advantage to them.

Final Thoughts:

Considering the fact that this is NRG's best map and that NRG as a team as more solidified in their roster and team in general, I have to favor them over Optic Gaming. Optic are struggling at the moment and I have even seen tweets from team members that show dissatisfaction about their performance. Because of this I will go for a medium bet on NRG.
