North vs NRG

PREDICTION: NRG will win

The #7 vs the #10 ranked teams in the entire world are facing off. This is bound to be exciting. They are representing the spirit of "second best, but chasing the top" spirit from their respective continents.

All in all this is quite an interesting match up NRG has just finished winning the cs_summit 3 tournament.

But does all this counterstrike mean that they are in great shape and everyone knows their positions in and out?

Or:

does it mean they are tired and just want to stop playing and go outside and bask in the sun?

While North on the other hand have solely focused on Online play after losing to the very same NRG team they are facing once again today. But other than those three games at starseries they haven't played each other for over a year.

One could try to make the excuse for North that cadian hadn't had a long time to play with the team and they have improved since. But the same can probably be said for NRG and high stakes LAN situations.

HEAD TO HEAD:NRG won the first battle on inferno 16-12 in the group stage.

But the 2-0 was a close fought affair with NRG winning 16-14 on Train and 16-13 on Overpass.

RECENT FORM:NRG just won the summit LAN with only a hiccup here and there. They are 13-5 in the ECS top of the league. And 11-7 in ESL ranking in at number 5. For the last three months they are 51 to 26

North are in second place at ECS with 13-5 and fourth place in the ESL league with 15-9. For the last three months they have won 57 maps and lost 30.

CONCLUSION: The stats seem to be very similar but lets not forget that the European league is quite a bit harder than the NA currently is. But even though the online form may go to North the LAN form are looking much more promising for NRG, not to mention the fact that they 3-0`ed North last time they met, not that long ago. GL HF
