New York Excelsior vs Philadelphia Fusion

Match-ups like these are what makes competitive Overwatch so darn great: Philadelphia Fusion vs. New York Excelsior is a clash that has all the hallmarks of a bona fide spectacle and, needless to say, you'd be wise to tune in if you have the time!

That's perhaps an oversimplification, but it is by no means incorrect. Quite the contrary, in fact. We're talking about two supremely talented line-ups with a metric ton of potential, along with an equal amount of performance headroom and long-term promise. They're not perfect, mind you, but they're exceptionally capable nonetheless and have all the right tools to leave a mark in the grand scheme of things. Doubly so for the Philly boys who've maintained their respectable (and quite enviable, in fact) position in the world of competitive Overwatch for years now. They have come up short pretty much every single time when it mattered most, but their ability to compete and sheer talent are undeniable. Carpe, in particular — that crazy DPS deity — has been playing out of his mind lately and is no doubt Philly's biggest catalyst. Fortunately for the Fusion, Carpe is "online" more often than not, with mind-boggling snipes and plays that'll make your head spin. He's truly a one of a kind and will no doubt be the difference-maker in their clash against New York as well.

Speaking of the Excelsior, they're pretty darn good, although they still need a fair bit of time to fully synergize, get on the same page, and conjure up an identity to call their own. Right now they're like a diamond in the rough, with a few (somewhat sporadic) brilliant flashes interspersed between moments of meandering and aimless chaos. Still, they've had enough time to work on their flaws and should, by all means, be able to put up a fight against Philly.

We'll side with the Fusion on this one as it's the only logical option right now. Things might be a bit more competitive than most folks expect (or as the odds would imply), but Philadelphia should still be able to get the "W" and make a statement in the process as well.
