Natus Vincere vs Team Liquid

ELEAGUE Major 2018 Main Qualifier Day 4,

Here we are in the ladder part of Day 4 of the ELEAGUE Major 2018 Main Qualifier, where we are down to 6 teams with a 2-2 record. The only match worth looking into is the final one of the day which is Liquid VS Navi. Both of these teams have history together since S1mple was once part of the American lineup, I could imagine him wanting to take down his former teammates and vice versa.

Liquid:

In the game I predicted earlier with Liquid winning over Vega, I thought they had it sealed until round number 27 where they basically threw the match going into the blender of a defence that was set up on the A site. This continued for the next 3 rounds until the game was over with a scoreline of 14-16, a very disappointing outcome. To give some credit, Nitro played out of his mind and almost got a 1v4 pistol clutch in the beginning that would've been massive.

Basically the same record as last game with the addition to one loss on Mirage against Vega. That being said they also lost one map to FaZe on Overpass, then took a 2-0 on Cobblestone over teams Flipsid3 and Renegades. All map records now are at; Mirage, with a record of 8-10, Inferno at 10-5, Cobblestone at 8-7, Cache at 4-3, Train at 5-2, Overpass at 2-3, and finally Nuke at 0-1.

Navi:

Navi lost to FaZe earlier today, a match I predicted would be an easy sweep for Faze and it was. Full max on Faze no regrets. This game against Liquid they actually might have a chance on, but Navi really only seem to play well against one type of opponent, and that is one they can outskill. Unfortunately for Navi I don't think they can outskill Liquid in their current form and in Liquid's current form.

Maps for Navi are a bit different than Liquid, starting from the top we have Overpass at 5-4, Train at 3-4, Inferno at 4-2, Nuke at 3-2, Cobblestone at 3-1, Mirage at 1-2, and finally Cache is the perma ban.

Map Pick/Ban:

Mirage and Cache will be likely bans for Navi as they are two maps they seem to not play often. Liquid will answer back with bans of Overpass and Train. If all goes according to plan I could see Cobblestone as the preferred map choice between the teams. Liquid may have an advantage as they've played that map and have been successsful on it twice before in this event.

Final Thoughts:

This is for all the marbles, a spot in the Major group stage, bragging rights, proving whose better, the whole 16 rounds. S1mple will be the player to watch this game as he's used to having to carry his team and we will be trying extra hard to beat his old teammates. However I do feel nerves might get to S1mple because it is his old team and the burden on his shoulders to carry his team might be to great for him to bear. With all of this info out there, I believe these are wonderful odds for a low bet on Liquid, with the multiplier I see some juicy profit coming.
