CSGO Asia Championships 2018,

Alternating from the ESL One Belo Horizonte over to the CSGO Asia Championships, we will be looking at a game between two well-known teams with very different skill sets. In today's tip, we will be taking a peek into the best of three match-ups between teams Natus Vincere and Envyus for the first round of the group stage. Let's dive in.

Natus Vincere :

Coming off of a strong showing at StarSeries Season 5 with a revenge victory over globally ranked number four; Mousesports, Natus Vincere has solidified themselves as the second-best team in the world and hosting the current best player in the world, S1mple. S1mple has single-handedly won Natus Vincere games in the past and is the only player in Counter-Strike history to receive an MVP award for an event his team did not win, he's done this twice. Luckily his team winning StarSeries allowed him to receive an MVP award and the first place trophy. S1mple had a 1.4 rating over nineteen maps to secure the win for his team.

Natus Vincere's map pool looks like this; Mirage is 11-2, Inferno is 8-5, Nuke is 6-2, Train is 5-2, Overpass is 4-2, Cache is 1-1, and Dust 2 is 0-1

Team Envyus :

Envyus has definitely seen better days. After the French shuffle, Envyus was given the short end of the stick as they basically got the so-called "rejects" of the superteam that became G2. That superteam would go on to fail and kick two of its star players to make way for a new French project. This, however, still leaves Envyus in a state of discombobulation as they have yet to field a team that can compete against the higher tier European squads in the game today. This event will be the first event back for AWPer Sixer, so communication may not be entirely there for the team.

Team Envyus's map pool looks like this; Inferno is 4-14, Train is 7-11, Cache is 5-7, Overpass is 0-6, Mirage is 2-3, Dust 2 is 1-1, and Nuke is 0-2

Map Pick/Ban :

This is a best of three series, each team will ban one map, pick one map, and ban one more. The last map remaining will be the deciding map played if the series extends to it. Natus Vincere will take the fight out of Envyus by banning the two best maps; Train and Cache. Envyus will respond with bans of Mirage and Nuke. Leaving the three maps of Train, Overpass, and Dust 2. A clear map advantage goes to Natus Vincere as the win rate is unbelievably high for them and at an all-time low for Envyus.

Final Thoughts:

I hope that Envyus can one day find there feet again, as with all of the French shufflings it has not allowed for any iteration of Envyus to make a stand against stronger teams. Natus Vincere, on the other hand, has recently found enormous amounts of success with S1mple and the rest of the squad following in his lead. I feel this should be an easy 2-0 for the likes of Natus Vincere, and I strongly feel a medium to high bet would be a solid investment for this game.
