ESL ONE Cologne 2018 North American Open Qualifier,

This week the ESL One Cologne 2018 North American qualifier will be played and closed out as sixteen teams who reign from the North American region will fight it out for their chance to make it to the closed qualifiers. Currently, only four teams remain; Complexity, eUnited, Mythic, and Dignitas. In this tip, we will be looking at the best of three match that will be played between teams Mythic and eUnited. Let's break down each team.

eUnited :

Formerly known as 'Rise Nation', eUnited has made a name for themselves in the main online league of ECS, where they currently sit in fourth place and are in the running to qualify for the LAN finals. After removing Jonji and vSa from their active lineup and replacing them with the young talents of Dapr and Relyks the team has never been the same. Huge upgrades and clutch potential now flood this team and under the new title of eUnited, the players have a new sense of confidence and self-worth. I foresee this team making large strides in the next few years.

eUnited's maps are as followed; Train is 8-4, Cache is 6-4, Mirage is 7-2, Inferno is 3-4, Overpass is 3-1, Nuke is 2-0, and Dust 2 has yet to be played

Mythic :

Mythic is a stream team. Which means that the core foundation of the team is made up of twitch streamers who've formed a team where they can all play on and compete while still enjoying their own scheduled lifestyles. Although this is not a team to brush off, as all the streamers are former professional players. Adren is from Liquid, Anger from Denial, Hazed from CLG and Optic, Flom from Luminosity, and Polen from Detonate. All of these players have potential to do big things in each game and their 6+ hour stream schedules make time for a lot of practice.

Mythic's maps are as followed; Inferno is 5-5, Mirage is 2-6, Train is 4-2, Cache is 2-0, and Nuke, Dust 2 and Overpass have yet to be played by this team.

Map Pick/Ban :

This is a best of three series so each team will be banning out two maps and picking one to play. The remaining map will be chosen as the decider and will only be played if each team wins one map each. With Mythic not playing nearly half the maps available to them, I cannot accurately predict the maps to this game. However, I do feel that eUnited has a map advantage due the experience of playing each map competitively as a team.

Final Thoughts:

This series is a chance to compete against other top-tier teams for an opportunity to play at one of the greatest eSports events of all time; ESL One Cologne. Each team will be giving it all they have in order to win. However, I find that eUnited is better suited and poised to win. I give eUnited the map advantage and also the win with a medium bet to back them up.
