mousesports vs G2 Esports

ECS Season 5 Europe,

After another long week of offline CSGO, teams Mousesports and G2 Esports are back home and ready to play some of there remaining online matches for ECS Season 5 Europe. With the season coming to an end, it is more apparent than ever before to get these wins in order to qualify and get a better seeding for the offline finals. In this two-game series where each game will be counted individually, we have these two behemoths playing on Cache and Mirage. This tip will primarily be for the second match-up on Mirage. Let's jump in.

Mousesports:

Showing good form at IEM Sydney, there most recent offline event, Mousesports is well on the way to retaining a top-five spot in the world. However, they did not perform as well as I expected them to against the best team going into the event; Astralis. This is to be expected as Astralis was the main team set to win. But, I digress, Mousesport have an excellent showing on all maps and Mirage is no exception. In the last three months, the map has been played twenty-eight times. Twenty-four have been victories. On this map, the main player for Mousesports is 'Ropz', the young Estonian talent. Expect him to drop big numbers against G2 eSports.

G2 eSports :

G2 eSports was a surprise addition to the IEM Sydney event as they were a direct replacement to the late Na'vi, who was unfortunately unable to get travel Visas in time for the event. G2 eSports were thrown into the mix and though they did not place as high as they expected, their individually talented team made it an interesting event for the other teams competing. Losing out in the final qualifier match for the main stage to Mousesports, G2 has also slowly been breaking apart internally due to roster changes and the ever-looming air of the French scene. Mirage is currently the most played map by G2, with twenty-one total games played. Sadly, only eight of those games are victories. G2 eSports biggest defeat was also to Mousesports (2-16).

Map Pick/Ban :

This is a best of two series, but as I mentioned before, the games will be played individually and we will be focussing on the second map of Mirage. With this being said, the clear map advantage goes to Mousesports.

Final Thoughts:

My final thoughts going into this match-up is that though both G2 eSports and Mousesports have played many of times in the past, twenty times to be exact, and it is as of right now an even split of ten to ten. Every time the map has been Mirage, which it has been three times; Mousesports have come out on top. Especially with their new form and dynamic retake ability on the 'A' site of Mirage, it is unquestionable that Mousesports will come out on top of this game. My recommendation is to take a medium bet out on Mousesports and enjoy the game, as watching two talented teams such as these compete is always one to write home about.
