ELEAGUE CS:GO Premier 2018 ,

Welcome to day 5 of the ELEAGUE CS:GO Premier 2018. Thus far, teams Cloud9 and Faze Clan have been eliminated and today two more will be joining them. Team Liquid and MIBR could be one of the teams that join the loser of this best of three series between Mousesports and Fnatic. Both Mousesports and Fnatic have beaten Faze Clan and lost to Natus Vincere, with Fnatic putting up slightly better numbers up against Faze Clan than Mousesports. Fnatic took that series 2-0 compare to Mousesports' 2-1. Let's break these teams down by individual talent and map pools and find out who we can predict will win this game.

Mousesports :

Since the addition of Snax, Mousesports have had two main things happen; they have been able to hold bombsites easier and the team has been able to create more impact with individual picks. Now, what does this mean exactly? Well for holding bomb sites, with each bomb plant the attacking T-side gets a small amount of bonus cash along with the money they would receive at the end of the round. Because of Snax being able to hold down sites better than Styko, Mousesports have been able to deny that bonus money and directly affect the economy of their opponents. The impact of individual kills comes more as being able to capitalize when they get an early pick. A lot of teams will get a pick and not advance on the map control they receive because of this. Mousesports being the scrappy team they are taking full advantage of every inch of the map that is given up by the opposing side.

Mousesports's map pool looks like this; Mirage is 9-10, Inferno is 9-7, Train is 9-4, Dust 2 is 4-4, Cache is 4-2, Nuke is 2-3, and Overpass is 1-1

Fnatic :

So far this event, Fnatic has not shown what it takes to win against these other top 10 teams. Fnatic is a team that will punish any team that doesn't respect them in-game. A very vengeful core of JW, Flusha, and Krimz lead the charge and seek out opportunities for overextension. The problem I see with this currently is that back in Katowice or WESG, and most recently Dreamhack Masters Marseille, Krimz and Flusha were in absolute beast-mode form. However, since then both the star riflers have gone entirely downhill. Over the last 27 maps played on LAN, Krimz is only 26 kills positive, while Flusha is negative by 89 kills. If Flusha can't find his form, I don't see Fnatic being a formidable opponent for the remainder of this event nor the Major to come.

Fnatic's map pool looks like this; Mirage is 5-3, Overpass is 2-6, Cache is 2-3, Train is 2-3, Inferno is 2-2, Dust 2 is 1-1 and Nuke is 0-1

Map Pick/Ban :

This is a best of three series, each team will ban out two maps, pick two maps, and the leftover map will be the decider. Mousesports has a full series map advantage with these map pools. Fnatic will be forced to ban out Inferno and Nuke, while Mouse can ban out Overpass and Dust 2. These bans will result in a series of Mirage, Train, and Nuke. All three maps of which favor Mousesports map pool.

Final Thoughts:

Fnatic winning over Faze Clan was a blessing, unfortunately now they will have to go up against Mousesports on maps that entirely favor them. The only way I can see Fnatic winning this game is if Flush and Krimz have an outstanding series and Ropz continues to struggle. Other than that, it should be a clean 2-0 sweep for Mousesports. Medium bet would be the best reccommendation.
