Luminosity vs Renegades

ECS Season 4 North America,

"Cache" is the predetermined map of choice today and because of that we'll look at past stats on "Cache" and some standout players.

Today on this special Thanksgiving day, we have two non- North American teams duking it out inside the North American arena. We have Australia's Renegades vs Brazil's Luminosity. These two teams have faced off previously both online and on LAN. On LAN in their most recent showing at the iBUYPOWER Masters 2017, on the map "Cache", renegades took down luminosity 16-8. However online just 3 days before, Luminosity won on "Cache" 16-14.

Renegades:

As an overall assessment of this team, they are a very solid structured team. That being said, they made many mistakes on "Mirage" just two days ago when they faced off against NA's own NRG. Renegades weren't quite recovered from their recent LAN trips, but I hope these past few days have let them settle down and get ready to finish out the online season.

"Cache" is a commonly played and won map for Renegades. Boasting a record of 12-4 in recent form, Renegades have proven to have a decently sized map pool and their "Cache" game can compete with the best. When they are on LAN, that is when they perform their best, but today we are hoping they can transfer that LAN play into some good old online CS. Keith 'NAF' Markovic is the stand out player for Renegades with a usual rating of 1.24. His rating jumps to a 1.36 on "Cache"

Luminosity:

Luminosity is a relatively up and coming team. Though they had a lack luster performance at the iBUYPOWER Masters 2017, they are still a team that can contend with other tier 3-4 teams. Today, when they are battling Renegades I will be watching their performance and analyzing their play. Luminosity also haven't played an official map since the 12th of this month, which should make them be well rested and ready to play.

For Luminosity "Cache" is a very well played map. With a record of 14-6 they've spent a lot of time on this map in recent form, which is likely to transfer into todays game. I would also expect Luminosity to want to take revenge on the Renegades on this map, for beating them so badly on LAN. Gustavo 'yeL' Knittel is the stand out player for Luminosity and has an overall rating of 1.14, which jumps to a 1.30 rating on the map "Cache".

Map Pick/Ban:

"Cache" will be played no need to go through a ban phase.

Final Thoughts:

Renegades have seem to have gone a little cold after their most recent LAN. Losing three straight online games, only to take the fourth yesterday against Cloud9. I would like to see more from both of these teams as their recent records show little about them. However I find myself today predicting the Luminosity will take "Cache" over Renegades. Renegades will put up a better fight on "Train" against the Brazilians, and I think Luminosity have a much better chance over Renegades come the second game of the day. Good Luck everyone and place your bets accordingly.
