London Spitfire vs Philadelphia Fusion

We've come to the very last day of Stage 2 competitive play. After five weeks of grueling, back and forth play from twelve teams, three of them will fight for the $125.000 prize.

Philadelphia are entering with a fair amount of hype however that hype isn't that concrete. They stringed a couple of fantastic matches albeit against lower tier opponents. After they lost 1-3 to both Seoul and New York in week three, they clean swept Shanghai and Dallas last week and managed to clutch it out against Los Angeles Gladiators and the Los Angeles Valiant this week. Now while the Gladiators and the Valiant are far from bad teams they were incredibly inconsistent this week. (the whole stage even) With Houston, the Gladiators and the Valiant faltering throughout Stage 2 (incredible highs but abysmal lows), Philadelphia managed to win the games they had to and in decisive fashion so when the dust settled they had the map advantage over Seoul and thus a direct ticket to the playoffs.

London on the other hand dominated throughout the last five weeks and are entering this match as the heavy favorites.

With New York Excelsior awaiting in the finals, this is do or die for both London and Philadelphia. The Spitfires want to have a repeat of their Stage 1 performance when they took down both Houston and then New York back to back and they have the tools to do so once again. It's only a matter of preparation which was often their strong suit. While Philadelphia poses a very specific and interesting set of threats and "unknown quantities" (will EQO justify his starting position against a top tier Korean team? Will Carpe dominate as much as he can when facing Profit and Birdring?), it's hard betting against London.

They're not the most consistent team, they're perhaps not even the best at the moment (that accolade has to go to New York at least for the time being), but they always find a way to win these incredibly important games and clutch it out in the end. This should be no exception. That said the Philadelphia boys are fearless and will surely come out of the gates swinging, so if you're going to bet go for a lower amount just in case.
