ESL ONE Belo Horizonte South America Closed Qualifier,

All the way from South America, we set our sites on the ESL One Belo Horizonte South American Closed Qualifier. In this event, eight teams have the opportunity to play at ESL One Belo Horizonte in front of their own home crowd. There are some big names in this event and in today's matchup we find ourselves in the presence of one of the best up and coming South American teams; Furia. Furia will be facing off against the likes of Isurus, a well-known rival. These two teams have played against each other a total of eleven times. Five games going in favor of Isurus, and six going to Furia. Let's dissect both of these teams and find out who will come out on top this time.

Furia :

The globally ranked #78 Furia has been in the eyes of many lately as their star player Yuri 'yuurih' Santos, is currently the best-rated player on HLTV.com. With an overall rating of 1.41 he has had several stand out matches where his rating can increase the likes of 1.5+. Along with his other teammates, such as Kaike 'kscerato' Cerato, and Andrei 'arT' Piovezan; Furia as a team has slaughtered many of team in their path. Winning first place across a multitude of South American events, and maybe soon this qualifier.

Furia's maps are as followed; Inferno is 12-3, Cache is 8-2, Cobblestone is 9-1, Mirage is 6-3, Train is 7-0, Overpass is 5-0, and Dust 2 has yet to be played.

Isurus :

In the last few events that Isurus has been apart of, they have fallen just short of first place. Many of 3-4th place finishes across all South American events and even coming in 2nd place in the ESEA Open Season 24 Brazil. This is a team that has a lot of potential and with their current status in this qualifier event, they are not to be trifled with. However, individually speaking, the only player to have an above 1.1 rating is Nicolas 'NikoM' Miozzi who currently boasts a 1.16 rating. Not too shabby, but the rest of the team has a lot of work to do before they can really compete at the level they need to in order to win events such as this.

Isurus's maps are as followed; Inferno is 12-5, Train is 6-4, Mirage is 6-3, Nuke is 5-0, Overpass is 4-1, Cache is 1-1, and Dust 2 has yet to be played.

Map Pick/Ban :

This is a best of three series so each team will be banning out two maps and picking one to play. The remaining map will be chosen as the decider and will only be played if each team wins one map each. Furia will want to ban out maps Inferno and Nuke. Isurus will ban out Train and Dust 2. The three maps that will be played are that of Mirage, Cache, and Overpass.

Final Thoughts:

Between these two teams, looking at them via overall stats and of the map being picked, I have to give the favor to Furia. Right now Furia is playing unbelievably Counter-Strike and the stats don't lie. This along with the maps all being in favor of Furia means that Furia will likely take this in a quick 2-0. Medium bet on Furia.
