GODSENT vs eXtatus

ESL Pro League Season 6 Europe relegation,

Today we kick off the new season of ESL Pro League in the European region as 4 teams; NaVi, Space Soldiers, GODSENT, and eXtatus all fighting for 2 open spots in the ESL Pro League Season 7! Needless to say this qualifier is of the up most importance to these teams and all of them will be competing at the highest level possible to ensure a spot.

In this matchup we have the newly formed GODSENT vs eXtatus.

GODSENT:

Whenever I see GODSENT I see a basically an unofficial Fnatic Academy team, and when I stated above how they are a "newly formed" team I mean they just picked up two new players to solidify their starting five. Ludvig "Brollan" Brolin and Hampus "hampus" Poser are the two pick ups for GODSENT, and I feel these individuals with their own stunning past performances will help GODSENT propel themselves into a higher tier of Counter Strike.

Maps for GODSENT are a little all over the place and they have yet to play with this roster, so map choices are non existent, i don't expect much thought to go into the pick/ban either.

eXatus:

eXatus has been one of those "on the watch" type teams. What I mean by this, is that they have been on a slow climb in the scene for a very long time, playing against the lower tiers and staying at the lower tier due to the lack of overall skill and coordination. Though in recent form they have taken maps off of teams like Space Soldiers and GX, they still have a lot of work to do to get to the next tier.

Map picks are a little more solidified for eXatus, going 17-8 on "Mirage", 8-4 on "Cobblestone", 5-6 on "Train", 6-4 on "Inferno", 3-4 on "Cache", 2-3 on "Overpass" and finally 2-2 on "Nuke".

Map Pick/Ban:

Since GODSENT is relies more on their skill more than anything else, the map picks will likely be in favor of eXatus, "Mirage" their best map, will be a likely pick up. The most commonly played maps should be picked, I expect "Mirage", "Inferno", and "Cache" to be the three maps chosen. To both keep eXatus consistent and to appeal to GODSENT's play style.

Final Thoughts:

This game I feel could go either way, like most games both teams have the opportunity to win. But i'm here to tell you who will win and not why such and such team won't. Looking at both of these teams from a perceptive of skill, GODSENT are the clear winners. Watching eXatus play in ESEA Season 26 Global Challenge, they have shown potential but not quite up to the level of skill and coordination that I think could trump GODSENT. eXatus have been together as a team for longer but they are outmatched when it comes to experience at the higher tiers. GODSENT I feel will take this game 2-0 not in convincing fashion, but they'll pull it off. Good luck and go lower bets as the percentage to win will pay a good amount with a lower dollar amount
