ESL Pro League Season 8 North America ,

ESL Pro League is not only for the European side of the CSGO world, but we also have our own twelve teams online league here on the North American side of the world. In today's match-up, we will be taking a close look at two newly developing teams that have made it to the main stages of the most prestigious online leagues in all of Counter-Strike. These two teams are Ghost Gaming and the newly revealed North American line-up for Team Envyus

Ghost Gaming :

Since the acquisition of Steel from the ex-Ibuypower roster Ghost Gaming have entered into an era of both uncertainty and huge results. Because of Steel's reputation, he and whatever team he is on are not allowed to partake in any Valve controlled events and because of this can never win a Major. However, this doesn't stop Steel and company from earning their wages in other various events and online leagues. Steel along with the help of star AWPer Wardell and riflers Koosta and Subroza, have brought this almost unknown organization into the spotlight of the North American circuit. Taking down top-tier North American and even European teams.

Ghost Gaming's map pool looks like this; Inferno is 4-4, Mirage 3-3, Nuke 3-3, Train 2-2, Overpass 1-2, Cache 1-0, and Dust 2 1-0

Team Envyus :

Team Envyus release the old French roster a few months ago, the roster went through many changes and was often the "B" team when it came to the French scene. Team Envyus, which is located locally in North America decided that they would choose to relocate their organization to have better communication with their players. As it currently stands, Team Envyus have picked up former Team Liquid AWPer JDM64, former Renegades AWPer Nifty, and three-fifths of the Splyce roster that was released upon the organization's exit from competitive CSGO.

Team Envyus's map pool looks like this; Inferno is 0-1, Cache is 0-1, and this line-up has yet to play on any other map.

Map Pick/Ban :

This is a best of one series, and because of the online format, the map will be chosen randomly. The map was chosen to be Dust 2, this in mind Team Envyus has not played an official match on Dust 2 while Ghost has played one. The one Ghost played was also on LAN at Dreamhack Masters Stockholm against world ranked #3 Natus Vincere. Ghost would win this map 19-17.

Final Thoughts:

Overall, both of these team are beginning to find their footing in the competitive scene of North America. Though with Team Envyus still not even five official matches into their lifespan, I feel their lack of experience against other top talents will be their downfall. Ghost Gaming has proven that they can compete with some of the best in the world and comfortably handle the majority of the North American teams. I believe that Ghost Gaming will come out on top in an otherwise dominant fashion. Medium bet on Ghost Gaming to win.
