StarSeries i-League Season 4 ,

Welcome to the third event of the year! We had the ELEAGUE Major, CS Summit, and now we take it all the way over to Kiev, Ukraine for the StarSeries i-League Season 4. In this first of hopefully many tips to come we will be looking at a best of three series between Australia's own renegades VS France's G2 Esports. We will be covering map picks and bans for this best of three as well as any other changes and how they might effect each line up and the out come of the match.

G2 Esports :

G2 did not attend CS Summit and instead took the time to regroup after their somewhat terrible performance in the quarter final stage at the ELEAGUE Boston Major. With any luck the Frenchies will come back stronger than they once were, and if they have mastered the ability to be patient and close out games the right way, instead of forcing up until they end up losing, they might go far in this event. Be on the lookout for Shox, not in a good way, but because of his upcoming wrist surgery, I cant tell if he will try his best before getting fixed up, or if his skill will lack because of the current pain. Hard to tell.

G2 Esports's maps are as followed ; Cache is 4-2, Overpass is 2-4, Cobblestone is 3-1, Mirage is 0-2, Inferno is 2-1 and both Train and Nuke have not been played in their most recent form.

Renegades :

The Renegades took a hit after losing their star player and carry; NAF. NAF almost single handedly took Renegades to heights they could've ever imagined, winning countless MVP's as he went. After NAF left for Team Liquid, in his first event, won and took home the trophy at the CS Summit. But now he leaves Renegades in a spot to which they now have to fend for themselves and though they have picked up former Dignitas player jkaem, I still think Renegades will struggle to put put some decent numbers up against their opponents in the North American ESL Pro League Circuit.

Renegade's maps are as followed ; Mirage is 3-5, Cache is 6-1, Inferno is 3-3, Cobblestone is 1-3, Train is 3-0, Overpass is 0-1, and Nuke is the perma ban.

Map Pick/Ban :

This is going to be a best of three series and Nuke looks as if it's the perma ban for both squads, so that map will not be played. Train is a likely ban from G2 as they haven't played in as of recent and Renegades have been successful on it. Overpass is a ban for sure as neither team are fond of it, and the final ban will be Mirage. The remaining three maps to be played will be Cache, Cobblestone, and Inferno.

Final Thoughts:

This match is going to be interesting, as both teams will be well versed on the maps that are going to be played, so their is no real map advantage for either team. However with the odds in G2's favor, you can see that G2 are clearly the most skilled team between the two and agreeing with that mentality and going forward with this prediction, I feel without the stability that NAF brought the Renegades, that they will fall to the French Giants. Medium bet on G2.
