Fragsters vs Gambit Esports

ESEA MDL Season 27 Europe ,

Well, losing two bets in a row is never a nice result, especially after being next to perfect for the month of February. I'm going to continue writing tips everyday, but my new goal is to have a positive win rate and hit somewhere around the 75% success rate mark. for today's tip we will be looking at an ESEA MDL Season 27 European game between Danish Fragsters and CIS Legends Gambit.

Fragsters :

Fragsters are currently ranked 92nd globally, and this would result them being more in the tier 5-6 catagory. Not anywhere close to the top or to the main stages, but I have seen some good results out of them in the past that would cause me to think that this squad has some sort of potential. Although they post a mostly positive win rate, when faced with higher tier opponents, they seem to crumble. Losing out to teams like AGO and Pride Gaming, they always seem to get close to victory but never seem to be able to close out games.

Fragsters's maps are as followed; Mirage is 5-5, Inferno is 6-2, Nuke is 3-2, Cache is 1-3, Train is 1-3, Overpass is 1-1, and Cobblestone is 0-1

Gambit :

Gambit recently went through a roster change where Fitch, their newest addition after the departure of Zuez has now been replaced by ex-Navi member Seized. It's almost as if Navi and Gambit made a trade, except Fitch got dropped and electronic was added from Flipside. Will this new roster move help? I'm not entirely sure, but their results haven't been terrible. And who knows, maybe this team will bring out the best in Seized and Gambit will make another rise to the top.

Gambit's maps are as followed; Train is 5-8, Mirage is 7-4, Overpass is 6-4, Nuke is 3-3, Cache is 4-1, Inferno is 4-1, and Cobblestone is 1-2

Map Pick/Ban :

This series is a best of one, so six maps are going to be banned out and one will remain as he map to be played. Since neither team has a perma banned map, they will mainly just go through each teams map pool until one map is left over. Fragsters will likely ban out Mirage, Overpass and Train, as all of these maps aren't in the best interest of Fragsters. Gambit will reply with a ban of Inferno, Cobblestone, and Nuke. As these maps don't favor Gambit in this match up. The decider will end up on Cache, where it will give Gambit the advantage.

Final Thoughts:

Between these two teams playing for a spot in MDL Europe, I would Imagine that Fragsters have a lot more to prove than Gambit, but seeing as gambit have recently put together this line up with Seized, they will want to use these MDL games as good practice for bigger tournaments. This seems to be game where I feel strongly about the path of which Gambit is taking and I feel that they will come out on top, a good game to watch for sure, just to see if Seized can step up, and the likes of Gambit are always fun to watch. Medium bet on Gambit over Fragsters.
