Florida Mayhem vs Vancouver Titans

Florida Mayhem vs. Vancouver Titans, in all fairness, is about as far from a premier match-up as it gets. Still, we're at the very start of the 2021 season and watching as many games as possible needs to be a top priority seeing how we're looking to put our hard-earned money on the line. The reasoning behind this approach is rather simple: by doing so we'll get the absolute best possible read on the meta along with the many teams currently competing in the Overwatch League.

So, say, if it's a bottom-tier dweller taking on a mid-tier gatekeeper, there's still a reason to tune in, regardless if you're looking to bet on the aforementioned clash or not. This time around, there's yet another benefit worth mentioning: we'll get to see the Florida Mayhem in action for the second time this week. The jury's still out on exactly how powerful they are and whether or not they have what it takes to go places, but they're definitely a top-tier competitor and should, by all means, be able to compete for a spot near the very top of the standings.

Simply put, they have a metric ton of firepower within their ranks, and their play is far more commanding and clean than most people would expect. Yaki, BQB, Gargoyle, Fate, and Gangnamjin are some of the best players in their respective roles and they're definitely worth our undivided time and attention. The Vancouver Titans, on the other hand, are pretty much a shoo-in for the very bottom of the standings. There's just no other way to put it, really. Whether they're the de facto worst team in the Overwatch League or not matters very little — that title should probably go Boston's way, but Vancouver isn't far off either.

So, naturally, we're siding with the Florida Mayhem on this one. It's the only logical option, really. Whether or not it'll be a clean 3-0 shellacking still remains to be seen, but they're better in every which way and should have no trouble in taking Vancouver Titans down.
