Florida Mayhem vs Chengdu Hunters

Next up, we have a clash between two "losers:" Florida Mayhem and Chengdu Hunters. Now, labelling them in such a pejorative way is undeserved, needless, and unkind — but it's still the truth. Fortunately, both teams are as far from bottom-tier dwellers as they can get. In fact, they're some of the best teams in the Overwatch League right now which, of course, is worthy of the highest praise and commendation. Still, they're not good enough to compete with Dallas and Shanghai, hence the "losers" title.

Chengdu is entering this match after getting manhandled by the Fuel, and even though they eventually stepped up and made things competitive, it was a case of "too little, too late." Florida, on the other hand, went the distance with Shanghai but they still showed many weaknesses, most of which can easily be exploited given the right preparation and execution. All in all, they're formidable adversaries, although it's become quite clear just how good they really are and how high they should be ranked. Fortunately, both teams will have a shot at redemption thanks to the double elimination format, but only one will be able to advance further and potentially avenge their loss. There's quite a lot on the line, so you bet that both line-ups will put their best foot forward and play like their lives depend on it!

In the end, though, we simply have to side with Chengdu on this one. They've been a lot more decisive, dominant, and flat-out exceptional throughout the last couple of weeks and should, by all means, be able to get their hands raised tonight. Still, we're talking about the slimmest of margins here, which means Florida definitely have a puncher's chance. Either way, we'll definitely be entertained regardless of the final outcome, so make sure to tune in!
