ELEAGUE Major 2018 Main Qualifier Day 4,

Welcome to the continued coverage and Day four of the ELEAGUE Major 2018 Main Qualifier. In this upper bracket match up we have two very well known names; FaZe and Navi. Now both of these teams currently sit at 2 wins and 1 loss and will face off today for a place in the ELEAGUE Major Main stage.

FaZe:

Faze is a team I have yet to fully fall in love with. They are basically made up of 5 of the best individually skilled players in all of Counter Strike history. But because of this dynamic all of the players play on the same team, but not together. Using their individual skill to outclass their opponents. Karrigan does a wonderful job with trying to control the talents and focus it into a single unit. But sometimes like yesterday, they can get completely outplayed by teams with coordination.

The map pool for Faze is very large and they have had a lot of success taking fights to opponents on their favorite maps. Starting from most played we begin at Mirage with a record of 13-6, Inferno follows at 10-5, then Train at 7-5, Overpass at 10-3, Cache at 5-2, Cobblestone at 1-3, and finally Nuke at 0-2.

Navi:

Navi is very similar to FaZe in the fact that they play to their own individual skill. The problem that Navi has that FaZe doesn't is the fact that Navi does not have 5 of the best players in the world. Navi is a team that was assembled and everyone was given a role to follow and contribute, the only problem is that their is a heavy lack of coordination and teamwork, and unless Navi face a team that they can out play skill wise, they won't win.

So far this event Navi have played Mirage twice and went 1-1, and won their only match played on Inferno. Surprisingly we haven't seen Navi's most played map Overpass, which sits at a record of 5-4, Inferno follows with 4-2, Train at 3-3, Nuke at 3-2, Cobblstone at 3-1, Mirage at 1-2, and Cache is the perma ban for Navi.

Map Pick/Ban:

FaZe aren't afraid to go after any team on any map, since Cache is the main ban for Navi, we won't see that map played. Karrigan will likely consider playing Overpass against Navi, since he knows they will not ban it and that FaZe have an astounding record on it. Knowing this Overpass will likely be the pick, however Navi might do a last minute ban to try and force Faze onto Inferno, knowing that it is not a map that FaZe play a lot of. Regardless of the map, their will be a lot of back and forth in the pick/ban phase.

Final Thoughts:

My final thoughts in this match up is that these are the types of odds you want to see if you're betting on FaZe. A good overall value for a max bet which I advise considering all the map choices for Navi are those of which FaZe have a higher win rate on, FaZe will likely bounce back after yesterday's defeat ready to get to their top 8 spot as quickly as possible. FaZe Up, max bet, gg no re.
