Evil Geniuses vs Natus Vincere

This match-up might seem a bit underwhelming, with Natus Vincere taking on Evil Geniuses, but there’s still more than enough reason to tune in. This one should, by all means, go in Evil Geniuses favour, given their recent track record.

Evil Geniuses, a name well-known across the globe, are hitting their stride even after Syed Sumail "SumaiL" Hassan and Gustav "s4" Magnusson left. The organization was able to fill both gaps without breaking a sweat and is currently riding high. Azel L. “Abed” Yusop and Roman “RAMZES666” Kushnarev have synergized perfectly with the team and have even brought something unique to the table, making EG every bit as dangerous as in the past.

They are assertive and proactive, they love making rapid rotations, and they’re not the kind of team to back down from a fight either. Their drafts are also every bit as creative, making them a very layered threat.

Whenever Evil Geniuses step foot on stage, you’re bound to be entertained, regardless of allegiance

Their latest accomplishments include a fourth place finish at the MDL Chengdu Major (pre-Outlanders), and a second place finish at the ONE Esports Invitational in Singapore. Not too shabby.

On both of these occasions, EG have shown that they are still a powerful squad that should not be taken lightly. They also fought against very stiff competition, making their accomplishments that much more impressive.

As for NaVi, there isn’t much to be said. If you said the word NaVi a few years ago you’d be talking about the very best team in the world of competitive Dota — guys that kept dominating whenever they showed up on the stage. Today, however, that is far from the case. The roster itself has changed quite a lot since those golden days and the current line-up is, by all means, struggling to live up to the name.

They have some potential, but every time they start to improve it feels like a case of “one step forward, two steps back”. They are inconsistent, they make sloppy plays and simply lack the stamina to compete at the highest of levels.

The odds of NaVi actually winning against Evil Geniuses are so slim, that we might as well say they’re non-existent. That doesn’t mean they won’t be able to compete or that they’ll get rolled over, but when all is said and done Evil Geniuses will almost certainly be the last one standing.
