ESL Pro League Season 7 North America ,

Here we are at the now start of ESL Pro League North America! During the last day or two I have been covering the ESL Pro League Season 7 of the European Circuit, but now as start with North America as well. I am particularly excited about the North American league, as I feel with the recent successes of Cloud9 and Team Liquid, the era of North America is on the rise, and myself being from North America, it makes me all the happier to see the teams from my home soil doing well against international opponents. Today we will be looking at a few North American teams, that aren't the greatest, but are on the rise to be potential candidates for future Counter Strike international events. These teams are Complexity and Splyce.

Complexity :

Complexity is a team that hasn't been on my radar for a long time now. Ever since about 3 years ago Complexity have been struggling to put good North American talent on a team and make them work together. They have had a pastern of just randomly selecting some prospects of the game and putting them on a team and seeing if it will all work out. And their results because of this mentality have been sub par. In recent light they did in fact pick up ex-CLG member and in game leader FNS to help steer the team in the right direction and they have had some success because of this. They are still growing but complexity has become a better team because of this move.

Complexity's maps are as followed; Train is 3-3, Mirage is 2-2, Cobblestone is 4-0, Inferno is 1-2, Cache is 0-1, and both Nuke and Overpass have not been played in recent form.

Splyce :

Splyce is pretty much in the same pool as Complexity. Another one of those organizations that's bounced around many different players hoping that the group will stick together long enough to do something in the scene. I believe with their current roster they do have a chance to do something special. They have ex-Cloud9 member Semphis, and ex-Echo Fox member Roca as the main part of their line up. Roca is one of my individually favorite players and his aim I believe is unmatched in the North American scene. If he can get a solid supportive squad around him, Roca will do amazing things.

Splyce's maps are as followed; Cache is 2-4, Train is 5-1, Inferno is 3-1, Mirage is 1-2, Nuke is 1-1, Cobblestone is 1-1, and Overpass is the perma ban for Splyce.

Map Pick/Ban :

This series will be a best of one game with a pre determined map pick. This map pick is Inferno. Taking a look at the most recent forms of both teams, we can see that Complexity has struggled to put up rounds against their opponents and only won one of their last three games on this map. Where on the flip side, Splyce has won three of their last four games played on Inferno. Because Splyce has played more games and won more games, I feel Splyce have a map advantage going into this game.

Final Thoughts:

My final thoughts on this first game of my personal coverage of the North American ESL Pro League Circuit is that Splyce will be coming into this game with both a map advantage and more practice, as they have played more official games in recent time than Complexity. Medium on Splyce to win
