ECS Season 5 North American Challenger Cup ,

Another day and another Counter Strike prediction. Unfrotunatly after yesterday's predictions we ended up going 1-2 in terms of accurate predictions. Torqued came through, but both Faze Clan and Gambit fell short of their opponents, which was very surprising to me. Both of those teams have a few kinks they need ironed out. Mainly Gambit, who I feel still need to replace seized as his addition has not brought very much in favor of the entirety of the squad. Non the less we move on to today where we will be looking into the North American Challenger Cup and take a look at Complexity and Bravado Gaming.

Complexity :

Complexity is a North American tier 3 team made up of a handful of players who have come from all sorts of different organizations to form what is now a team with a decent amount of talent and has the potential to win some smaller events. The key players to look out for on this squad is new in game leader; FNS and main rifler yay. Yay to me has always been a very fun player to watch and his take on the game is interesting to break down, I feel he will put in some work against Bravado and lead Complexity to an overall great performance.

Complexity's maps are as followed ; Cobblestone is 5-1, Inferno is 3-2, Train is 2-3, Mirage is 2-2, Cache is 0-1, and both Overpass and Nuke have yet to be played in recent time for this squad.

Bravado Gaming :

For those unawre to this team, Bravado Gaming is a South African team looking to make a claim on the North American circuit. They have been the number one team in South Africa for some time and finally got the opportunity to bring their skill to the states. Though they have only played against teams that are from their local scene and only a handful from the actual North American scene, they tend to do well but against higher caliber teams they tend to struggle. Which is an obvious statement, as anyone just coming into the big leagues is going to struggle.

Bravado Gaming's maps are as followed ; Mirage is 4-3, Inferno is 4-1, Train is 4-1, Cobblestone is 5-0, Cache is 2-1, Nuke is 0-1, and Overpass seems to be the perma ban for this team.

Map Pick/Ban :

This will be a best of three series and with that being said, we will see two bans and one pick from each team with the last map remaining being the decider. Starting with Bravado, they will want to play their best maps and will likely ban out Complexities' Cobblestone, while also banning out their perma ban Overpass. Complexity will ban out Nuke and Mirage. The remaining maps will be Inferno, Train, and Cache.

Final Thoughts:

In this match up we will see a somewhat veteran North American squad take on the number one team from South Africa. Though I do think that the South Africans have some chance, the stakes and overall talent that North America brings on a regular basis could outweigh any work done by the South Africans. It will be a close game that i can see heading to a third map, but I feel Complexity will clutch this one out. Medium on Complexity.
