Boston Uprising vs London Spitfire

For our second match of the day we have a very interesting clash between the Boston Uprising and the London Spitfire. You'd think that this would be neck and neck, a fight for the playoffs or the finals but this time around it's no such thing. London is fighting to stay even remotely relevant after getting outclassed over the last two weeks whereas Boston wants to prolong their dominant win streak and perhaps even get that important playoff bye.

Boston is currently riding their incredible hot streak and they're showing no signs of stopping. Even though they lost their biggest and perhaps most flashy player in DreamKazper, Mistakes was more than enough to fill the gap. Without such a staple player in the roster it soon became evident that it was the Striker and Gamsu duo that enabled Boston to play so well for so long. (they're still one of the most strongest teams in the League when running a pure dive comp) Striker in particular played out of his mind last week as he not only played up to Saebyeolbe's level but even outperformed him in every measurable statistic. It was an off day for one of the best Tracer's in the world and Striker was more than well prepared to cause damage. It's impossible not to mention just how well Mistakes has been playing ever since he was slotted into the team as he even managed to outperform the likes of Danteh on Sombra and go blow for blow on Widowmaker against some of the best hit-scan players in the world.

As for London, they're struggling with each passing week.

The thing is - teams started reading them a lot easier as they didn't really adapt or evolve over the course of the first two stages. With over ten weeks of competitive play (and a fair share of five map matches) teams have more than enough footage to go over and prepare team specific strategies. London has their fair share of weaknesses and with ample VODs to analyze it became a lot easier for teams to beat them. Even the Florida Mayhem (spearheaded by Sayaplayer's insane Widow play) made life complicated for London last week and if they can't beat the eleventh ranked team in the League then it's time for some big changes. Things are getting very dire for the Spitfire seeing how they're currently sitting in the bottom half of the standings with just a single win and even though they don't have an incredibly tough strength of schedule going forward they're still facing teams that could beat them if they prepare well enough.

We're going with Boston on this one. It's hard to bet against them after what they've shown over the last two weeks and the momentum they're riding surely won't stop now. That said London does have a tendency to bounce back after weeks of underperforming but it's still a tall task to overcome a game Uprising roster. This will surely be a game of inches that could by all means go the five map distance.
