BIG vs Natus Vincere

ELEAGUE Major 2018 Group Stage Day 2,

Here comes day 2, today we have a matchup between BIG and Navi. These two teams have both lost their first respective games. BIG losing to North Amercia's Liquid, and Navi to the defending Major Champions Gambit. If you have a chance I would defeinately go back and watch both of those games as they weren't that close of games, but it shows the playstyle of the two teams when they do end up winning rounds.

BIG :

BIG is a team that got into the Major last year and took a deep run in the main stage due to the abuse of a jump peek bug. Where they were able to jump and then crouch mid air, which allowed the BIG players to look over objects but not allow the opposition see them. With this being said, the jump bug has been patched and with it so have BIG. They have not been able to compete with the other competition because of this bug being patched, and I feel they will soon fall out of their Legend spot.

Maps for BIG are as followed; Cobblestone is 6-4, Overpass 2-7, Cache 2-5, Train 3-3, Mirage 0-2, Inferno 0-2 amd Nuke is the Perma ban.

Navi :

Navi have nown confirmed themselves to be the second best team in the CIS region. Maybe even third best if Quantum Beletor Fire keep it up with these massive upsets. But back to Navi and being second best. They were unchallenged for many years and always reigning supreme over teams like Hellraisers. Once Gambit was formed and under Zuez's guidance they became the best in the region and even after Zuez left to return to Navi, gambit retained their strength and now have come back to haunt Navi and Zuez. Navi are only really in this Major Group being of S1mple.

Navi's maps are as followed; Inferno at 5-2, Overpass at 5-2, Train at 3-4, Mirage at 1-2, Cobblestone at 2-1 and Cache is the perma ban.

Map Pick/Ban :

Nuke and Cache are the respective perma bans and will not be maps we will be see played. Mirage is an uncomfortable map for both teams so that ban will likely come through. Navi will ban out BIG's best map Cobblestone and BIG will return the favor by banning Inferno, coming down to the last three map picks, I have a strong feeling that Train will be the deciding factor.

Final Thoughts:

In terms of my final thoughts of this match up, we find ourselves with basically two sub par teams that have miraculously made it into the Major. BIG will lose their Legend spot by the end of this group stage I guarantee you, and Navi I don't see making the main stage either, but in this particular game I find that Navi have the better team and that mainly comes down to the X-factor of S1mple and what he's done to get his team to the place that it is. S1mple will go massive and carry Navi to the next match of the event.
