WESG 2017 World Finals ,

Even though this will be the second overall tip written for the WESG 2017 World Finals, this will be the first game of the two to be played. In this installment tip of this event we will be looking at teams GODSENT and B.O.O.T. (for short i'm just going to call them Boot) Both of these teams having full rosters of the same country allows them to compete as WESG, but the majority of the teams that are competing, even though they have the same country, they don't really have the same skill level overall. Let's discuss these two teams and see who will come out on top.

GODSENT :

GODSENT is a native Swedish squad made up of a few highly talented young stars who have played with veterans in the Swedish scene, like JW, Krimz, Pronax, and other Fnatic oriented members. These young stars have shined bright this past few months and recent made their way into the ECS Pro League, ousting Natus Vincere from the final European spot. Which in it of itself is a large accomplishment, seeing as even though Natus Vincere are inconsistent, they are the second best CIS team is the world.

GODSENT's maps are as followed ; Mirage is 9-10, Train is 8-7, Inferno is 5-5, Overpass is 5-5, Cobblestone is 4-5, Cache is 6-1, and Nuke is 0-1.

B.O.O.T-dreamscape :

Boot as I will call them to shorten things up a bit, are a team that I personally am unfamiliar with. They are a Singapore native Counter Strike team who have played in the Oceanic division of regional qualifiers. Though they have had some success in order to get to this event. They have lost out to more less quality Oceanic squads like Tainted Minds from Australia. I'm sure as a team they have a lot to bring, but going up against better talents in an event that have the biggest international prize pool, will definitely bring the competition.

B.O.O.T-dreamscape's maps are as followed ; Mirage is 13-4, Train is 4-1, Inferno is 3-1, Nuke is 2-2, Cobblestone is 2-2, Cache is 1-2, and Overpass is the perma ban.

Map Pick/Ban :

This series will be a best of one and with that being said, we will see three bans and 1 map left to be then decider. Starting with GODSENT, their map bans will likely fall to Cobblestone, Cache, and Nuke. Boot will respond with bans of Overpass, Train, and Inferno. Leaving Mirage.

Final Thoughts:

Going into this game I will trust that GODSENT's pure talent will win it for them. GODSENT are the type of team to challenge others on their prime map, unafraid to play anything really. Seeing how Mirage is the best map for Boot, they will not want it to be banned out, and Mirage also being GODSENT's best map, they will be more than happy to play it against them. Boot have a lot of work to do if they want to win this game, because now that GODSENT are no longer a sort of "joke squad" being created off the tail end of Pronax, I feel they can rise to the occasion and make a deep run this event. Medium bet on GODSENT.
