Ardeont vs Fire Dragoon

GOTV.GG Invitational 2 ,

Not my usual style of tip writing I know. But when you see the odds are a x2 for a basically fifty fifty game, you gotta go in. This isn't going to be a completely random tip as I will be watching this match take place because I am interested in South Korean Counter Strike. The South Korean's dominate in every other e-sport and I'd like to see how they fair in CSGO.

Ardeont :

Ardeont is the South Korean team in this match up. We are actually looking at a game between South Korea and Malaysia believe it or not. Now Ardeont is a relatively new team, these five individual players have been rounded up from other South Korean organizations such as Ardeont, Ardeont Academy, M0nster and others. These few members coming together have not posted the greatest win rate or individual score. Their top rated player right now is Hong-Gyo 'Jinx' Jung, with a 1.17 rating over the coarse of 62 maps. Not terrible, but also not a great performance, with seeing how with HLTV's 2.0 rating systemm, a 1.05 is actually the global average.

Aredeont's maps are as followed; Mirage is 1-1, Cobblestone is 1-1, Inferno is 0-1, Nuke is 0-1, Overpass is 1-0, and it looks as if Train and Cache haven't been played by this roster.

Fire Dragoon :

Fire Dragoon is a Malaysian team who actually came in first place at a LAN event in Malaysia. Which might not mean much but I could imagine this team being one of the better teams out of that country. They have an opportunity to prove themselves on a bigger stage against a foreign opponent. They definitely have a better looking over all rating and their best individually rated player is Ahmad 'd4v41' Khalish Rusyaidee Bin Nordin, with a rating of 1.23 over 21 maps. A very long name with a very stand out performance.

Fire Dragoon's maps are as followed; Mirage is 4-3, Cache is 3-1, Train is 1-2, Cobblestone is 2-1, Overpass is 3-0, Inferno is 1-0, and Nuke looks like it's the perma ban.

Map Pick/Ban :

This series will in fact be a best of three. Knowing that Ardeont has not played Cache or Train may not mean they won't ban either, but seeing as Fire Dragoon has a good record on Cache, that might be the ban to come in. Nuke will be a perma ban and won't be played. Mirage is a likely pick for a map, followed by Overpass and looking at the records, Inferno is a possible third map to be played. Train and Cobblestone will also be banned out.

Final Thoughts:

With teams like this and as little information their really is on them, it's basically a fifty fifty shot at winning. However, seeing as though the Malaysian team: Fire Dragoons has a much larger map pool and have played more maps together as a team and also have a better overall and individual rating, I feel that is enough for me to want to side with them over the South Koreans. I will be watching this game, but for some fun, I'm going to do a low bet on the Fire Dragoons.
