ESL Pro League Season 7 China Closed Qualifier ,

Today we will go across the great Pacific Ocean and join our fellow Counter Strike playing friends in China for the ESL Pro League Season 7 China Closed Qualifier. This qualifier will be a best of three between teams 5Power eSports and The MongolZ. Before we dive into these two teams, I often don't find myself predicting Chinese leagues, but these who teams in particular are ones I have been watching from a distant as they have been some of the better teams over there that I have seen.

The Mongolz :

I remember watching the Mongolz play way back in 2016 when I first got into competitive Counter Strike. They were the forefront for most of the Asian teams and would top teams like Tyloo from time to time. Unfortunately for The Mongolz, they lost one of their greatest assets: Enkhtaivan 'Machinegun' Lkhagva to Eclipse. Machinegun was the prime fragger for the team and since his departure the whole team has almost fallen apart entirely. Losing their HLTV rank and dropping to rank #274

The MongolZ's maps are as followed ; Mirage is 0-3, Inferno is 1-2, Cache is 2-0, and Cobblestone is 0-2. Maps Overpass, Train, and Nuke have yet to be played by this team.

5Power :

5Power have slowly been making a name for themselves in the Chinese leagues. Having placed first in a few ROG Masters Qualifiers and in their most recent LAN they qualified for the qualifier of IEM Sydney. Lots of qualifiers to be played for this teamin order to make it to the main stage. This match against The Mongolz will be another one! As the winner of this best of three series will go on to be able to compete in the ESL Pro League for China.

5Power's maps are as followed ; Mirage is 9-5, Cache is 3-4, Inferno is 4-2, Cobblestone is 2-2, Train is 1-2, Nuke is 0-1, and Overpass is 1-0

Map Pick/Ban :

This is a best of three series and the winner will go on to play in the ESL Pro League for China, which is a very large prize to win. Since this is a best of three both teams will pick one map, ban two out, and one map will be left to be the decider. 5Power will want to ban out Inferno and Cache, The Mongolz will ban out Mirage and Cobblestone. 5Power will be Train, The Mongolz will pick Cobblestone and the decider will be Nuke.

Final Thoughts:

My final thoughts on this match up are that 5Power has all the advantages heading into this series. They have better rating's across all maps, better ratings of individual players, more consistent wins and just more games played. Team 5Power are going to solidify themselves as one of the top teams in China and I wouldn't be surprised if they even manage to win a spot at IEM Sydney, but as for right now with this spot open for ESL Pro League. I don't think 5Power will let this chance slip by. Medium bet on 5Power
