The start of the season for both teams

G2: (hltv rank 8) After their international gamble things seem to be starting to settle down a bit. We have so far only seen glimmers of the potential in this squad. But the ceiling is sky-high. A nice finish to last year winning the champions cup and a nice start by qualifying for IEM Katowice on their first try. This will be their first big test in a while.

100 Thieves: (hltv rank 10) Haven't played official matches since ESL pro league where they lost to fnatic and EG, but had a nice win against Faze. They have looked even better after their change in org, but I fear they might be closing in on their top.

Both teams have had more than enough time to prepare whatever they want, and the few matches G2 has played officially is probably more to their benefit than not.
